My middle school students love everything about my art class! As a foundational part of my curriculum, every day, students complete a warmup drawing in their sketchbooks which then serves as a record of their growth and artistic skill development. In addition, in a normal semester, larger projects are conceived, designed, and tested in the sketchbook, before students complete their final versions in other media. Your donation will ignite student imagination, creativity, and develop emergent skills. With remote instruction likely, the sketchbook will be the only paper source for most projects. Even though they come from an underserved community, I believe my students are entitled to a bound sketchbook of quality paper stock. Entrusting our students with proper tools and materials builds a sense of pride and self-confidence in their ability to produce art and contribute to the culture of art. You can make a difference in my students' experience! We need 200 spiral bound 8 1x2”x 11” sketchbooks 50 sheets of (20# multipurpose paper).
