This weekly magazine will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. Many of my students are unable to travel outside of our city. Scholastic News gives them eyes for what is going on in the world around them. With this weekly resource, my students will be able to explore a world they may otherwise never know. The articles are time relevant and help create a sense global community in each of my students. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and your donation will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
