We started a Free Store at our Middle School, which has donated clothes, shoes, and accessories for our students in need. We found through passing out clothes to our students, that our students also needed toiletries. It is important for our students to have basic necessities in order for them to succeed in the classroom. These basic necessities consist of deodorant, body spray, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and socks. If students do not have the basic needs, it is going to be harder for them to get through the day. When students have their basic needs fulfilled, they are more likely to pay attention in class. They are also more likely to have more self confidence needed to succeed. When students in need were taken to our Free Store, their faces light up.
