With a new goal of improving our social emotional learning, daily morning meetings are essential to our classroom environment. Currently, our students cannot comfortably fit in a circle on our small, ten year old remnant, and need an age appropriate carpet. We want morning meetings to be an enjoyable, productive time when our students can learn about regulating their emotions, expressing themselves, and feel heard by their classmates and teachers. This carpet is not just a carpet. In our classroom it will be so much more. It will be the meeting place for our classroom community to learn about social emotional management, character education, as well as academic mini-lessons. It will be an essential part of each and every day!
