By donating to my project you will be enhancing our classroom by leaps and bounds! My English learners will use their bilingual rug, books, and flexible seating daily during morning circle time as we set the tone and goals for our day, during our literacy lessons, centers, and small groups, and at the end of the day as we reflect on our learning! As of now, our classroom library and my small group guided reading resources are severely scarce! I have collected very few books from colleagues and library, because there just aren’t enough to service the needs of my emerging readers. They need books in their native language in order to continue to develop their reading skills and receive the exposure to and build the vocabulary that will set the foundation for their learning in the months and years to come. The flexible seating will take the focus off of trying to get comfortable on our cold, tile floors, and redirect it back into the worlds inside the pages of their books where it should be. I sincerely appreciate any and all supporters as my class and I tackle the challenges that we face ahead! We are determined to exceed the expectations and make our campus synonymous with SUCCESS!
