The tablets will get students excited about reading. In first grade, many students are still struggling at becoming strong and fluent readers. Along with motivation, practice on grade level text is so important to beginning readers. I have seen many students get frustrated with reading because it is too difficult for them. Downloading applications that provide their leveled books is the best way to decrease frustration and promote excitement. Tablets are students motivation to read. Being in a Title 1 school, students are not use to using tablets in the classroom. Any student, regardless of their reading level will look forward to their time with the tablet, which in return give them the practice to become stronger readers.
