Many of my students have only created art with very inexpensive, low pigmented materials which produce pale colored drawings. The vibrant colors that attract us to an art piece are difficult to achieve with low budget colored pencils. Providing professional grade colored pencils and papers will allow my students to experience what artists experience with materials that produce a higher quality piece of art. Producing a quality art work with high quality colored pencils and paper will allow my students to be more engaged in developing new techniques and skills in their drawing. Realizing their work can have the vibrancy of professional works will encourage them to continue with their art production. The Artist Trading Cards; small business size paper or cards with miniature art works on them, which will be cut and made from the different papers I requested; will encourage them to share their work with others. The exchanging of the cards will allow my students to observe and learn from other students styles and techniques, providing them with an even richer exposure to finished art pieces.
