As a teacher, my job is to give these children the tools they need so they can cultivate a sense of self. With your help, I can start this process by integrating more technology in the classroom. The tablets will be used to personalize learning styles, promote literacy, and spark curiosity. Multiple studies have shown that access to technology such as these helps narrow gaps in educational success. Even more, this technology gives my students access to a wealth of knowledge at their (literal) fingertips. Combining traditional and digital elements in the classroom keeps my students not only engaged, but also well-rounded. I know that they are more than ready to seek the type of education they absolutely deserve. All they need now is an opportunity.
