Our classroom is in need of new stackable chairs to provide adequate seating for all students. The current seating in my classroom are some extremely old, worn down, rusted cafeteria-type chairs that are too tall for my third-grade students. Because of their size, the students are having to sit on their legs for a majority of the day, which is not the greatest for their circulation and creates a distraction of other students not being able to see the front of the room. These old chairs are also leaving markings on the floors due to most of them missing the proper footing on them. I just want to be able to provide my students with as many tools as I possibly can in order to set them up for success. I love to promote a positive environment and have a set up that will help to promote this. Getting adequate chairs for our desks is exactly what my students need to promote a positive educational experience daily.
