Fall is here and so is cold and flu season. We know that little ones can share more than crayons and toys. This year, I will be putting an emphasis on good hygiene manners. Many of my students know how to cover their mouths by sneezing into their elbows. They are very good helpers and never complain about cleaning. We wipe our desk, chairs, and toys. Before we eat, we always wash our hands. I will teach them to wash their hands for 20 seconds or long enough to say the Alphabet song. By doing this, they will know that they have gotten all the germs. Plus, they are learning the ABCs. We will read books and discuss how important it is to stay healthy. I hope that every child is healthy and happy in my class. Children that are sick can miss school and may fall behind. It is important teach the students good hygiene practices. With your help we can shoo away the flu!
