We will use the Frame It All Composite Raised Garden Bed, Desk Top Garden, and seeds to engage the students in a variety of hands-on activities such as plant life cycle and germination. All students need hands-on materials, but special needs students especially do since engaging them in hands-on activities helps them make connections and better understand the curriculum. We have a great space outside that we have been given permission to use, but unfortunately that is all we have. Currently all we have been able to do is watch movies and complete hand-outs on the subject, and I can't wait to actually get them outside and working on something they can be proud of. I would like to take it one step further and have them use what we grow to cook healthy recipes since I also have these students in a life skills class where we cook twice a week. Once we have the items requested we can begin to plant, nurture, and watch our garden blossom! Thank you for your consideration!
