A learning rug would provide a comfortable and cozy space for students to learn and play. We spend a large amount of time during our day doing group work but at the present time we do not have a cozy spot to gather. Students love to hear stories read aloud, but right now they are sitting on the cold tile floor. I want to provide my students with a space where they all feel like part of the group. Reading is such an important part of first grade and providing an inviting atmosphere for these little learners! Families in our school would love to see a warm place for their children to learn to enjoy everything school has to offer!
