The store and teaching display will help with gathering the students either whole group and small group. Whether it’s gathering the students close by on the carpet for the morning message, where students interact, blending with magnet words, math lessons, the students can be close by and hands on. Plus the storage is a crucial to keep those hands on materials close by. Also, I am in a portable, with limited storage, so having those manipulatives close by would be great. First grade does a lot of carpet work, whole class and then off to seat work. Having a magnetic easel, makes whole class learning accessible for the students. The flex space student tables and flex space collaborative work space bundle, which is a round table with flat chairs, is needed to allow all students learn differently. This flexible seating will allow all students to work freely as a team and/or independently. It also allows them to pick the area that beat fits their learning needs. Double sided White boards are a good tool to have to differentiate learning, and allow all students to write and feel confident about their answers. It is also a great quick check for teachers. The students who still need lines to practice writing can use the one side, the students who don’t can use the other. It’s really what the students feel works best for their learning style.
