The world has changed in many ways in a matter of months. What I wouldn't give to go back to a world without COVID-19. My students will be returning to school eventually. However, the school that they return to will not be the one they left. They will have to stay away from friends and wear masks. This will not be a typical school year for anyone. My students are 8-year-olds who like to interact with one another and with me. The protective shields will allow them to sit in a room and feel safe.
