I want my students to not just try to visualize what they are doing in their minds' eye; but to actually see the math and touch the math. I want them to learn to create their math through application of concepts they are learning. A 3D Printer will be used by my students to print equations; 2D, 3D, and imaginary number graphs; geometric figures; and even advanced applications in PreCalculus. They will also have opportunity to design their own projects with math and 3D print models. This technology will allow my students to experience real world applications of math they are learning in high school. These experiences will give them the opportunity to discover the importance of in career fields that are not just sitting in a desk crunching numbers together.
