Reading is fundamental. It is built into my district's curriculum as a focus area. Unfortunately, my students do not have the supplies necessary to read . Currently, the students are using Reading A-Z books printed from the website and books that I have acquired since the beginning of the school year. This is not enough. My students have made their collective voice heard and they want more books; especially books that mirror their reading levels. This project is meant to meet this demand. Providing these books to my classroom will ensure that my kids have a chance to continue existing as a community of readers with books that are engaging and appropriately leveled.
