This project will give my students books that they can read with their families over the summer! Reading and looking at books over the summer will help my students to retain the skills they have gained in Pre-K so that they go into kindergarten better prepared. These books are some of our classroom favorites! Even if a family member cannot read these with the students, they will be familiar enough with the books to "read them" themselves by looking at the pictures and looking for letters they recognize. Not only will these books help my students retain their skills over the summer, they will also bring back good memories of reading them with their class in Pre-K!
