My students experience learning through free-choice centers during part of their kindergarten day. Encouraging exploration and meaningful scientific investigations is so important in the early years because it helps children understand their world, and it makes them curious to learn more about it. I try to allow my students opportunities for discovery through self-selected activities, but my current discovery center can hardly call itself that due to a lack of materials. My hope is to provide engaging materials that excite my young learners to want to learn more about science, including plants and animals, the senses, weather, and the human body. These items will help my students become eager to observe, experiment, create, compare, and question. I hope to instill in my students a love for science. Please help my students become scientists by funding my project!
