I have chosen to get 6-month subscriptions to the Scholastic magazine El Sol for my upper level students, as they are all working towards college level reading, writing, and speaking skills. As research has proven, reading is a great way to increase these skills in order to allow the students to have a great vocabulary resource for them to draw on in order to express themselves. We will be using each monthly magazine to practice vocabulary, such as idiomatic expressions, from different parts of the world that aren't just found in their classroom book. My students are willing to extend themselves to learn new ideas and be able to share with each other their thoughts in Spanish.

About my class
