Literacy is celebrated in my room along with art! My art students love to read! I want to provide an "artist's library" where they go to read about an artist after they have finished all of their art assignments. Presently, the floor is covered with an old left-over rug. I'd like to dress up our reading corner and make it more inviting with a colorful rug that makes going to the "artist's library" a special treat! Providing a place to go to the art room that celebrates reading and the lives of artists will reinforce both literacy and the visual arts.
