These materials will support my students in their comprehension of functional life skills activities. My students benefit from visual supports in order to be successful in all aspects of their day, and having access to a printer, vocabulary cards, and high interest magazines will help them to improve their language and social skills. Additionally, the magazine subscriptions will provide topics that are relevant for the students and will provide context for them to have conversations with each other. Students will benefit greatly from the visual supports that these materials provide and will allow them to use new vocabulary, formulate opinions, improve comprehension skills, and learn how to have social conversations in a contextually meaningful way. A visually rich academic and therapeutic environment will provide my students with the learning strategies they need to be successful!
