In first grade, my students are all about physical activity. It's something they look forward to each and every day. Its also a great time for students to choose which games to play and socialize with friends. Social learning happens daily! It would be helpful to have high quality recess equipment for my first graders! I can visualize playing football with some students and jumping rope with others. I plan to build obstacle courses and team building activities into our school year. Cup stacking challenges are so much fun! Its amazing how fast students master games during recess. Some students are much more comfortable with drawing with chalk or blowing bubbles. I would love for students to have choices.
