In 5th grade, we begin each year by diving deep into the soul-touching novel, Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Due to the atypical circumstances that this year has brought about, we did not get the chance to share this novel with our classes. We see the value in, and have witnessed the impact of, the self-reflection, critical thinking, and raw conversations that come naturally when reading Wonder. Thus, we would still like to provide our students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the novel before heading off to middle school in the fall.
