Children with learning disabilities are at a noted academic disadvantage. The struggles that he or she encounter are real and often impede their ability to compete with peers. These students are loving and often teach me lessons that reach far beyond the four walls of a classroom. Technology is a wonderful learning tool. For this reason, i am requesting an Apple iPad. For example, graphics, colors, and animations used in an iPad use grab the attention of early learners. I plan to use the iPad to help a child that is unable to recognize letters of the alphabet or spell his/her name reach success and demonstrate self-accomplishment in mastering a skill. Also, I will use the iPad to increase addition and subtraction abilities of all learners. Technology is leading the way to academic growth! It is my goal to create a classroom filled with various learning methods and tools to enhance and promote academic success for all students!
