Music is best learned by creating and doing, rather than listening or watching. A class-set of ukuleles will allow all students to learn, practice and be active participants in making music during their music classes. Ukulele's are an ideal classroom instrument for all students. Kindergarteners can experience the thrill and joy of playing an instrument themselves, and sixth graders can become proficient through practice and challenges. Students with special needs can also be successful when playing ukulele, including the deaf and hard of hearing students and the intensive resource students in our school. A ukulele program can inspire confidence and joy while still providing opportunities for success for each learner!
