Flexible seating such as bean bags and bouncy ball seats allow my students to take ownership of their learning while being comfortable in their learning environment. Students use flexible seating during independent and group work times. They are able to choose a location in the classroom that works for them and get started on their work. Students absolutely love flexible seating for independent reading! Making sure students are comfortable is a great motivator in the classroom. I have seen tremendous differences in my students when they are given a choice in where they sit. When given a choice is seating students are happier, more engaged and have fun during our lessons!
