Instrument strings typically need to be changed every year, and many of our instruments have not been changed in over five years! Good strings help the instruments resonate and sound their best, which in turn helps build confidence in students. Once all our violins are repaired, more students can be admitted into the program. Properly set up instruments help students play with a beautiful singing sound, which in turn helps build confidence as they progress. Students will perform on these instruments this year both in their school and in the greater New Orleans community, culminating in an annual side-by-side with the city's professional orchestra.
