Because my students and I spend so much time in our room, I strive to make it as comfortable as possible. These chairs would provide my students a more comfortable place to sit as they read and learn. As an alternate place to sit, compared to the hard, plastic chairs that we currently have, these chairs would allow students to choose the position most beneficial to their learning style. Children are in constant motion, as necessary for their developing central nervous system, brain, and body. To support this development, my students need a variety of seating options. These chairs help support the developmental needs of my diverse group of students.
