I am an English teacher, and my current classroom library is paltry with only about twelve books. I want to expand the classroom library with books for the different literacy levels in my classroom, that also cover a diverse range of authors and topics. I am asking for books that can engage more reluctant students (such as graphic novels), books that can develop an interest in history (nonfiction books), and books that bring students to a range of realistic and fantastical worlds (fiction). Many of my students have never read a book that they really connected with. I want to be able to supply them with interesting titles so that they can develop an identity as a lifelong reader.
