It is always important to maintain their ability to comprehend a text and curiosity of how to make issues in life better through reading. Most students do not ever leave their own communities and reading would definitely give them insight into the outside. Separation anxiety between students and their books is rampant in K-12 education due to "paper-pushing" and technology. Students need to find their own intrinsic value in reading: Venturing throughout the world in a book!
