Welcome to 3rd Grade! This year is going to be wonderful for me and my students, and I am excited to take you on the ride with us. As a self- contained teacher, I teach all subjects to my students but Reading is my favorite. We need your help creating library resources for our students. My students need a Literacy center that caters to their needs as bilingual learners in 3rd grade. Any teacher will tell you that Reading is about creating shared positive experiences through literacy. I believe that a comfortable, colorful rug will welcome my students to the library and to our whole group instruction area. When I was a student, Dr. Seuss' books helped me fall in love with reading. I would like to create that magic with my students by adding Dr. Seuss books to our classroom library. The magnetic letters will be used to post the date, objective and student jobs on our board. The students will be able to see which letters are frequently used and be able to build their phonics skills.
