Adding Virtual Reality to the classroom will allow students to experience the unique experience of being inside a cell, traveling through the body's digestive system, exploring a variety of habitats, and conducting virtual experiments. Virtual Reality complements Google Maps, allowing a variety of different environments to be brought directly into the classroom for all students to experience. We currently have the management system for VR, but we lack the iPods that go inside the VR goggles. By obtaining the funding for these iPods, students in both 5th and 6th grades could share the traveling VR system. Because it would be done in a small group setting, individualization of the content could occur.
