Sixth grade General Music students deserve the opportunity to learn and grow through making music. Without a budget, curriculum, or any resources, these classes could easily be cast aside as unimportant. However, music is a reflection of culture and who we are as people. Through the study of music, students learn more about themselves and they world around them. Getting ukuleles for our classroom opens up the door for my students to experience music. They will learn to create music together. They will be able to experience the process of learning something new and creating something beautiful. And they will have the chance to connect their experiences to the world.

About my class
