Scholastic scope will help my students learn to be analytical readers, writers, and confident test takers. They will read nonfiction articles that will interest them and help increase their lexile level (reading comprehension level). By increasing their lexile, they are learning to read more complex text and setting theirselves up for a more successful future. These nonfiction texts will also be about happenings in America, Sudan, and even Mars just to list a few examples. This magazine also offers opportunities for students to practice writing about events happening in the world in order to increase their writing and prepare for the state assessment.
