My students love to experience things that are outside of the daily norms. By having the book, A Long Walk to Water, my students will get to read a true story of the Sudan culture. This project, when funded, will allow my students the opportunity to experience what it is like inside the heart and mind of a refugee. We often watch the news in our classroom, and my students hear about refugees. However, it is difficult for them to fully understand a topic without getting to take a deeper look. The funding from this project will do just that!

About my class
