The students are thriving with the new materials we received, thanks to your donation. All percussion students have been using the new sticks in preparation for our concert, which has significantly improved sound quality and allows students to take home mallets and sticks to practice with. Additionally, students who cannot afford reeds have access to plenty of reeds thanks to your donation. The table I purchased will be used to set the percussion instruments on during our Christmas concert. \r\nAs you may know, middle school students can sometimes be full of energy, either positive or negative, on any given day. I don't think the students had any large or initial reaction to the materials we have, because truly, these materials are the bare minimum standards of what music educators should be able to provide. Building this program from almost nothing has given me the privilege of being incredibly thankful for the supplies and opportunities I can provide to these students. They may not recognize all the materials they see as \"always here\" or \"magically appeared,\" but they would certainly notice if we were lacking materials. And for that, I am exceptionally grateful.\r\nAs I work with these students, I hope to continue fostering their development as musicians and as human beings. I want to expand opportunities for general music students to gain more experience with instruments and to explore world instruments in the future. \r\nThank you for your kind and generous donation. You may not realize it, but your contribution has had an immensely important impact on many lives, and will continue to do so.","fullyFundedDate":1758124116565,"projectUrl":"project/making-music/9560567/","projectTitle":"Making Music","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stanish","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10163289"},{"teacherId":216008,"projectId":9376673,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations! It is very much appreciated! \r\n My eighth grade students had a good time putting together our keyboard stands, and it gave them a new real-life way to learn to follow directions! While my seventh and eighth graders have played piano before and are very impressed with our new storage, my sixth graders just saw the piano keyboards for the first time when we wheeled them in.
