I want to build my students' love of reading by introducing them to engaging Young Adult novels. While I am developing their literacy skills in the ELA classroom, I want them to be passionate readers outside the classroom as well. Having these class sets of books will help our school build readers as well as develop the strong literacy skills students need to succeed in the outside world. We do not have a library at our school, which is why obtaining a class set of these books would be so valuable to us. Students should have access to quality books, unfortunately we do not have the funds to purchase them, which is why they would really benefit from having this wonderful gift.

About my class
