I am very fortunate to work in a school with a very diverse population with many students from all over the world. I work with many students at lower emergent reading levels and need more books to suit their needs. A lot of my leveled books are outdated and only feature white characters. I need leveled books that match the diversity of the students I serve. I need books that feature characters of color and a variety of topics. These books need to be at a level my students can read. Having these books will allow my lowest of readers to be engaged and excited about the books in my room!
