These centers will bring the biggest smile to my students faces, especially my autistic friends from the SLD class that need these hands on centers more then ever. They love the time they get to spend in the general education classroom and I want their experience to be meaningful and beneficial. My students will be able to become great readers and writers without even realizing how hard they are working! These kids come to school wanting to learn and get so frustrated when they just can’t grasp the skill that is being taught. These centers will alleviate so much of that frustration and confusion. There are magnet words that can be used to create sentences or practice ABC order, magnetic boards with pictures and words to make simple sentences, and various hands-on activities that focus on the short vowels and blends.
