These books will allow students in my classroom to find books that they enjoy and in turn develop a love of reading. In "The Book Whisperer", Donalyn Miller says, “Students will read if we give them the books, the time, and the enthusiastic encouragement to do so." These books will exposes students to a variety of genres in order for students to expand as readers. Books take kids on wonderful, mysterious, and unforgettable adventures. I would love for our classroom library to grow to help my students become life long readers. Through literature we learn about kindness, friendship, love, or loss it is endless the lessons we can learn from a good book. Children can identify themselves with fictional or nonfictional characters and see how this characters have dealt with situations similar to the ones they are going through. They can travel to worlds or meet characters that they couldn't even imagine existed. If children LOVE to read at a young age they will never stop!
