Believe it or not, collecting and passing out papers takes alot of time in the classroom. One of the best ways to solve this problem is to incorporate a mailbox system into the classroom management procedures. By giving students individual mailboxes, they know exactly where to put their work. Notifications and other things being sent home also go in the mailboxes for a quicker transition for dismissal at the end of the school day. By giving students mailboxes instead of constantly collecting and passing out papers, there is more instructional time. Given the rigor of our curriculum and the demands placed on our students, we need as much instructional time as we can get!
