I have chosen a few items to help make our classroom a more pleasurable environment, as well as chosen some class favorites to a spark the interest of my students. Every morning, we start with Morning Meeting sitting as a group on the rug. We talk about how the day is going to go, along with some encouragement. Whether it be 'Monday Motivation', 'Thankful Thursday' or 'Fabulous Friday', we always start our day with a quick chat on our rug. After Morning Meeting, we move into Reader's Workshop, where students are encouraged to find a comfortable spot in the room and get lost in the book of their choice. We talk about ways we can choose books, but I have chosen a few series that my students LOVE and cannot get enough of. I am so excited for this school year and see how our love for learning grows!
