Flexible seating is becoming more and more popular as the needs of students are so diverse. As a teacher for many years, I really saw the need for flexible seating this past school year as a teacher in an ICT setting. These students have many different needs according to their IEP’s and a flexible seating environment would help to accommodate their needs. Each year teachers are designated a specific amount of money by the DOE, but unfortunately they designate how the money can be spent. Unfortunately, furniture is not one of those items that can be purchased so your contributions would really help to set up a flexible classroom environment to help my students be successful and comfortable.
