COVID-19 has caused so many changes in schools, especially in the elementary classroom. Most of my students have been stuck home learning virtually for over a year and will all finally be returning to our classroom this fall! Before COVID-19, my students were able to share materials, which always made things much easier. Now, however, each student must have his or her own set of supplies, as sharing is no longer allowed for safety reasons. Even before the pandemic, most of my students could not afford the basic school supplies needed to complete their school work or homework. When they come back to school, I would like them to each have the basic supplies they need as they try to navigate returning to school during this still very difficult and uncertain time. My children deserve the BEST of everything and that is why I am trying to get these items for them. Coming back to the classroom with new guidelines in place makes the need for giving my students individual sets of these basic necessities that much more important. With your help, I know it can be done!
