Currently we have a set of about 19 guitars and the average classroom size for music class is 24-30. We need some extra guitars to complete the set we have and also to replace some guitars that are starting to deteriorate. For some students this will be one of the first times they have had to experience learning an instrument. The type of guitars we use have a pleasing sound (classical style guitar that is best suited for large groups of people playing guitar). Students this year will learn 4-10 chords and also learn how to accompany a song following a chord chart or chord symbols.
