My students are self contained and with me in our portable detached classroom all day. Most portable classrooms are meant to be used for 10-15 years. Our classroom is over 30 years old. It not only smells musty, it has grown mold on the ceiling twice since September. The district comes out sprays and patches the tin roof. Then they replace the tile that molded and say we are fine. My goal is to give my students clean air to breathe so they can focus better in class when learning. Learning is hard enough, but when you don't feel well or breath what we can't see, it becomes harder. Many of kids have allergies, headaches, and/or asthma. Please help me help them.
