I want to create a student-centered environment and give children the ability to choose how they learn. One problem that many students face when walking into a classroom is that they have no choice, no options. I believe that it is important for students to have choice creating an empowered student. Flexible seating creates an engaging environment that allows students to be comfortable, have options, collaborate as well as building a sense of community. Our world is beginning to lean fully towards collaboration and community as a way to improve in the real world, therefore we need to start young and prepare students to feel comfortable in collaborative environment.
