Students will always have materials ready within the classroom and be able to complete assignments in the classroom if they do not have the materials at home. Manipulatives with help keep students engaged and wanting to learn, making the learning environment student-centered. Students will be able to keep the pencils, markers, highlighters, and scissors organized and in a safe place. Students will be able to come to school knowing they can succeed because they have the material things they need in order to be successful. Students will not have to feel the embarrassment of not being prepared or not being able to engage in a lesson because they do not have the materials to do so. The manipulatives will be used to guide direct instruction for students during all lessons. Whiteboards will be utilized in the class in place of paper, students will complete problems on the whiteboards and show work which is and fast way to give students praise! Storage bins will be placed on the desk for students labeled with their names for safekeeping and always accessible for student use!
