These are books highly recommended to my students from other 5th grade students that I have had in the past. This is an opportunity to share the love of literature with books like One for The Murphy's, The Poppy Series by Avi, Esperanza Rising, and Wonderstruck. We have a running list of books in our classroom that my students are desperate to get their hands on. Each book having an inspirational message, great figurative language, or inspiring characters that pull the reader into the story. With this list of books I will be able to reach every reader in my class regardless of interest of reading level.
