Our class is a part of a growing school that is not yet functioning in its final building. Because of this, our students do not have access to a cafeteria, school yard, or even a proper gymnasium. They only leave the classroom as a whole when they have gym, which is only once or twice a week for 45 minutes, so the start to have trouble focusing. By giving my students access to flexible seating, my hope is that a change up of seating throughout the day will increase their focus and create a more enriched environment for learning! Allowing students to choose the seat that will help them do their best learning will hopefully decrease behaviors that stem from a lack of focus.
